About the Party

Born from the collective call of Kenyans for leadership that listens.

DCP was formed by Kenyans who had grown tired of a national conversation that flowed in only one direction. Across counties, communities were raising the same concerns — unequal access to resources, opportunity concentrated in few hands, and decisions made far from the people they affect.

We are a social democratic party, grounded in the Constitution of Kenya 2010 — particularly Chapter Four's Bill of Rights and Article 10's national values of inclusiveness, equity and social justice.

  • Structures in all 47 counties, from ward committees to the National Executive Council
  • Published, auditable nomination rules open to appeal by any aspirant
  • Annual declaration of party finances in line with ORPP requirements
